Grouping

At Robin Hood, groups are formed based on the last completed grade of the child. Cabin groups are also balanced so that there is an appropriate number of campers who may or may not be connected prior to their camp experience. This promotes the importance of “camp friendships” which are often maintained throughout the year. Our Director Sari Grossinger works closely with this aspect of camp and will review all grouping requests as they come into our office. Parents should be aware that there are issues that may affect our ability to accommodate grouping requests:

  • We need to know that the request is being made by the families of both campers, in a. writing, either on the application form or on a separate note.

  • Our groups have a maximum number and as a result we may have to limit the number of requests for b. any one group.

  • Our parents need to know that if friendships interfere with the success of group relations
we will need c. to work with the families to make changes.

Grouping at Robin Hood Sports Academy is less complicated. We are teaching sports skills daily and grouping is directly related to the abilities and age of the camper.
